Rush orders:
Orders which require a turn-around of 24 hours or less are subject to a minimum $5.00 rush order fee. The actual rush order fee will be determined based on the complexity of the job as well as current workload. This may be waved on a case by case basis but will not be the norm.
Art Fee:
Non-laser ready art will be subject to an art fee. This fee will be determined based on the complexity of the art. For more details about artwork requirements and fees, click HERE. Laser ready art should be high quality (300 dpi), vector graphic. Most internet images are only 72 dpi and not suitable for laser engraving. This may be waved on a case by case basis depending on the complexity of the art work and size of the order.
Minimums:
Our Shop Minimum is $5.00. This means that if you need something engraved that would only add up to $2.50 using our .50 a square inch calculation, it would still cost $5.00. Many businesses in this industry have a much higher minimum ($15-$25). Why? To be honest, because we have to make money to stay in business. In this industry, a large portion of our charge is based on the actual service of engraving, not the cost of the product. A $1 mug takes the same amount of time and effort to engrave as a $50 mug, so we must account for that time.
Logos, Artwork, etc.
We cannot engrave copywrited material without the permission of the owner. It is the customer's responsibility to obtain this permission and retain record copies for future reference. By accepting the terms and conditions when submitting your order, you are certifying that you have obtained any required permissions or that the works are original and owned by you. Space Engravers will NOT be held responsible for any legal judgments in this matter.
Delivery:
Routine local (Fountain/Colorado Springs area) deliveries will be available on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. This service is free for orders over $50. Order under $50 will be charged a nominal fee of $5.00. Other delivery days and times may be available upon request or you can schedule an appoint to pick up at our location.

Open Accounts:
Although most of our customers are required to provide payment upon ordering, we do extend an open account to our repeat customers. If you will be ordering on a recurring bases and prefer to pay on a monthly bases, please contact us for options.
- Overdue Invoice Fee: Invoices not paid within 30 days will accrue a late fee of 1.5% per month until paid in full. If you need to make special arrangements, please contact us ASAP so we can work with you and adjust your account.
Deposits:
If payment is not received in full at the time the order is place, a 50% deposit will be required for any orders over $150 to process the order. The remainder of the balance will be collected upon delivery, shipment or pickup of the order.
Order Processing:
Space Engravers makes every effort to process and ship items within 3-5 business days. However, in an effort to keep your price down, we don't keep a large supply of stock on hand. If we need to order your item, it may take a day or two extra to get it shipped out. To help us expedite this, don't forget to enter in the date you require the item by during checkout. This will help us prioritize and notify you if we don't believe we can meet your deadline. We will also try to ship your items together, but if there is an item you need right away and another that can wait, please specify during the checkout process.
Basic Shipping (other methods available)
SHIPPING PRICES SHOWN IN THE ORDER CONFIRMATION ARE ONLY AN ESTIMATE. Due to the custom nature of this business, it's very hard to estimate shipping. As an example, a 6" trophy is not going to cost the same shipping as a 20" bronze eagle. Therefore we have found that the table below works in most cases. These amounts are based on USPS Priority shipping (1-3 days). For larger packages we will use UPS or FedEx. If you prefer a different method or need it faster, please let us know and we will adjust as needed. Aside from a deposit (if applicable) we will not charge your credit card until the order is complete and ready to ship. Basic shipping is based on the following table:

Returns:
Returns are only accepted for specific reasons and within 30 days of receipt. Please contact Space Engravers for a return authorization prior to sending the item back. Because of the custom nature of this service, once an item is engraved, there is very little we can do to "fix" a typo. In some cases it's as easy as replacing a plaque plate, but in others, there is no way to fix it. For this reason we ask that you proof read your text before submitting it. We attempt to catch obvious spelling errors or typos but are not responsible for errors that were submitted. If there is an error on the item because of our mistake, we will gladly provide a replacement at no cost to the customer or refund your money. If the mistake is due to a customer submitted error, we will work with you to find the most economical solution to fixing the mistake.
Customer Supplied Items:
We have a large selection of items that will fit most of your needs. However, if you don't find something you like and would like us to engrave on something you purchased, we can usually do that. However, keep in mind that engraving on items that are not ours carries a risk. If we have never engraved an item before, we do not always know how an item will look when engraved. And as mentioned above, once engraved, there is no going back. For this reason, if you are considering engraving something with sentimental value that can not be replaced, please understand that we will do our utmost to ensure the engraving comes out perfect, but we CAN NOT guarantee it. We will make this clear when we accept the job. Also understand that it takes more time and effort to ensure you receive a high quality engraving on items you supply. This translates into a slightly higher cost than if we were supplying the item. Many customers ask why it cost $10 to engrave a $1 mug from the dollar store. For us, the cost of the original item is less of a concern than the time and effort it will take to engrave it. That being said, because of the risk of engraving on customer supplied items, if the item is expensive to replace, we will ask that you either accept the risk that it will not turn out as expected (and in some cases ruin the item) or we will be required to charge enough to cover the replacement of the item if it is ruined. Again, we will express our concerns before engraving it and if the risk is too high, we will recommend against it. We would rather loose a job than produce a product that is not satisfactory to ourselves or our customers.
Privacy:
We respect your privacy. We will NEVER sell or give away your information to anyone. We collect your information for billing purposes or in order to stay in touch with you for future specials but will never send your information to anyone else.
In some cases we may request your permission to show photos of your engraved item on our web site. This is especially the case if it was a one of a kind or custom item we are especially proud of and would like to show other perspective customers to give them an idea of the scope of our abilities. If you request it, we can blur out names and dates that may have been on the item.
